Mom, when I grow up I want to tell stories
Hi, I’m Laysa Guará, an illustrator and concept artist specializing in character design, prop design, and visual development.
I hold a degree in Design and Creative Technologies from the Universitat Politècnica de València, where I developed a strong foundation in creative direction and visual storytelling. My work sits at the intersection of illustration and concept art, with a particular interest in emotionally driven narratives, character design, and world-building.
I find my greatest source of inspiration in reality itself. I believe every story begins with observation: the small details of everyday life, the people we meet, the places we inhabit, and the experiences that shape us. To me, the world is full of hidden magic waiting to be discovered and reimagined.
As an artist, I aim to transform that sensitivity into images that communicate wonder, mystery, and emotion. I am interested in creating work that not only has a strong visual identity, but also connects with people through imagination and shared human experiences.
Driven by curiosity, I am constantly exploring new ways to learn, experiment, and expand my visual language with every project.

I believe that all the inspiration we need already exists in the world around us. My work is about observing it, reinterpreting it, and transforming it into images that reveal the magic hidden within everyday life.
Through illustration and concept art, I explore characters, stories, and worlds rooted in reality yet capable of reaching beyond it. I strive to create images that evoke curiosity, emotion, and a sense of mystery, building a bridge between the familiar and the imagined.
